Welcome from Andrew Travers, Chief Executive
Thank you for your interest in becoming our new Director of Integrated Commissioning (Adults).
Our communities in Lambeth are some of the most vibrant and diverse, but also some of the most deprived in England. Population growth, longer lives, and more people living with complex and multiple conditions, will put pressure on our constrained resources and capacity, with changes to the way services are delivered and people supported to be as healthy as they can be.
In response to this challenge, statutory organisations, voluntary sector bodies and community associations across the borough have pledged their commitment to form Lambeth Together, joining up how they work (systems, processes, technologies, budgets and outcomes) to improve the health, wellbeing and life chances of people in this borough. Lambeth Together is our fully integrated health and care system bringing together the improvements we are already making and we are planning even more.
As part of the exciting local development of mental health services, the Lambeth Living Well Network has signed an alliance (involving a number of partners) adult mental health contract (a seven year £66m per year with option of an additional three years) in place from July 2018. A further three delivery alliances are in development for Neighbourhood Based Care and Wellbeing, Children and Young People and for those in need of more personalised care.
Looking beyond Lambeth in South East London (SEL) more widely, we have been working together across health and care partners to create a ‘system of systems’ model of integration building our system up from local borough partnerships (the equivalent of Lambeth Together for all six boroughs), alongside collaborative arrangements more broadly where that makes sense such as NHS Commissioning/contracting from pan borough NHS Trust provider networks. We are working towards a single South East London CCG from 1 April 2020.
The post of Director of Integrated Commissioning (Adults) is critical to our success going forward. We are looking for an experience system leader to take this work to the next stage.
To be eligible for appointment you must have significant senior management experience including experience of commissioning primary, community/acute care services and social care services. You will have proven experience of successfully implementing change and system redesign to improve the delivery of patient care.
Welcome from Cllr Jack Hopkins, Leader of Lambeth Council
